چکیده
The present investigation was carried out to assess the operation of a pilot-scale submerged membrane bioreactor (SMBR) for treatment reactive dye and textile wastewater. SMBR model conducted by using polyethersulfone (PES) hollow fibre with continuous flow mode at different HRTs 8, 6 4 h, 90 days. During entire operation, average permeate flux, TMP, F/M ratio OLR found be 19 (L/m²/h), 2.6 (psi), 0.10 (g BOD/(g MLSS•d) 0.89 (kg BOD/m³.d), respectively. variations in have not adversely effects on model. Throughout despite TP, TDS conductivity, high amount COD (82%), BOD (86%), NO3-N (79%), TSS (98%), turbidity (97%) colour removal achieved. flux declined fouling it recovered chemical cleaning as well regular backwashing during operation. results obtained from study concluded that ultrafiltration shows good performance while treating wastewater along solution.

The Study of Organic Removal Efficiency and Membrane Fouling in a Submerged Membrane Bioreactor Treating Vegetable Oil Wastewater
The characterizations of vegetable oil wastewater (VOW) are unpleasant odor, dark color, and high organic contents, including large amounts of oil and grease (O&G), chemical oxygen demand (COD), fatty acids and lipids. Therefore, VOWs should be treated efficiently to avoid the environment pollution. The aim of present study was the investigation of VOW biological treatment using membrane biorea...
متن کاملDecolourisation of textile wastewater in a submerged anaerobic membrane bioreactor.
Azo dye decolourisation can be easily achieved by biological reduction under anaerobic conditions. The aim of this study was to evaluate the applicability of submerged anaerobic membrane bioreactors (SAMBRs) for the decolourisation of dyeing wastewater containing azo dyes. The reactive orange 16 was used as model of an azo dye. The results demonstrated that very high decolourisation (higher tha...

This study focuses on comparing the performance of submerged membrane bioreactor (SMBR) and submerged membrane adsorption bioreactor (SMABR) over a period of 20 days at a hydraulic retention time (HRT) of 3.1h. The effects of PAC on critical flux and membrane fouling were also investigated. The SMABR exhibited better results in terms of mixed liquor suspended solids (MLSS) growth, DOC removal (...

Climate change makes people to be aware about the environmental pollutions in aspect of Air, Water and Soil components. The environmentally aware countries have forced the other countries to implement the stringent effluent standards for disposal into water stream / water bodies. Hence, modern technology like the application of membrane separation (Micro or Ultra filtration) technique with biol...
